Dear JBMS Students, Families, and Community,

It is truly an honor to serve as the principal of James Buchanan Middle School, a place that means so much to me personally and professionally.

I began my teaching career here at JBMS in 2001 as an 8th-grade science teacher. For 17 years, I had the privilege of working with incredible students and families while building lasting relationships within this community. I then accepted the Assistant Principal position at James Buchanan High School, where I served for three years before becoming principal at St. Thomas Elementary School. After four wonderful years at St. Thomas, I was grateful for the opportunity to return home to JBMS as principal.

In addition to serving as principal, I am also proud to be a member of the Tuscarora community and a JBMS parent. My two sons, Trey (8th grade) and Beau (6th grade), are students here at the middle school. Experiencing JBMS not only as an educator but also as a parent gives me a deep appreciation for the trust families place in us each day. I share the same hopes and expectations for your children as I do for my own.

Coming back to JBMS has been incredibly special. This school has always been about people and building strong relationships. JBMS has dedicated staff members, supportive families, and students who bring energy, curiosity, and pride to our building every single day. I am honored and excited to work alongside such an amazing staff and student body.
